I am looking for a permanent Quantity Surveyor in Leeds to join a well established company. Delivering high quality commercial, healthcare, educational and retail schemes. Flexible working can be discussed.
The Role
A knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor with previous experience of working for a Fit Out / Refurbishment contractor on commercial, healthcare, educational and retail schemes. Leading on projects, ensuring that all works are in line with project budget, maximising cash flow and increasing profit margins where ever possible.
Duties
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Monthly progress reporting
- Prepare cost / value reconciliation
- Budget preparation / Cost reporting / Contract agreement
- Implementation and management of budget and cost control processes
- Review commercial and contractual risks
- Increase gross margin / maximise cash flow and profitability wherever possible
- Appoint subcontractors
- Approve subcontract, material orders
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (essential)
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team-based environment
- A proactive problem solver working to achieve results
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good MS Office skills
