Job Specification: Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Blackpool, Head Office
A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic and friendly team at our Head Office. As part of our planned UK growth strategy, we are expanding our team and currently have openings for individuals seeking long-term opportunities. This newly created role follows a series of sustained victories in large projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Measurement and Estimation: Take measurements and produce accurate estimates.
Document Preparation: Prepare tender and bid documents, including bills of quantities.
Variations Assessment: Conduct assessments and valuations of variations.
Sub-Contractor Engagement: Obtain competitive sub-contractor quotations.
Procurement Assistance: Assist with purchasing materials.
Site Assessments: Visit sites to assess progress and compare against plans.
Site Preparation: Assist with site preparation activities.
Cost Analysis: Identify areas of material and labor costs, providing input on ways to enhance value for money.
Environmental Impact: Contribute ideas to improve the company's environmental impact and reduce waste.
Representation: Act as a representative of the company at all times.
Relevant Experience:
Previous experience in Quantity Surveying.
Driving License: A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Personal Attributes: Ambitious, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team.

What We Offer:
Salary Range: £30,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days, increasing annually
