Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

• The role & about the client: On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/ estimator who specialises in the Hospital, Care and Hospitality fit out sectors ranging up to 4 million in value.
• Key Responsibilities
• Background in estimating with knowledge of the fit-out / refurbishment industry, estimating multi-discipline projects directly from end user client and through competitive tendering processes.
• Managing the estimating process
• Prepare and review cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities / quotations.
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine material and labour requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate costings.
• Prepare tender documents, including pricing schedules and contract terms.
• Send out Sub-contractor and supplier enquiries. Evaluating subcontractor bids.
• Managing client enquiries to return quotations and tenders in a timely manner.
• Answering post tender queries.
• Lead Generation from Tendering Portals/Websites.
• Help in building relationships with new clients as well as expand on existing.
