The Role

You will play a fundamental role in our diverse projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cost Estimation - evaluate project requirements and specifications to estimate costs associated with joinery and construction work.
• Budgeting - develop/manage budgets and monitor and control costs.
• Prepare and analyse documents for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Review and assess contract documents for accuracy/completeness.
• Project Planning - Collaborate with project managers/stakeholders to establish timelines.
• Identify and assess potential risks related to cost, quality, and timelines.
• Client Communication - communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on project financials. Provide regular updates and address client inquiries.
• Quality assurance.
• Maintain accurate records of all cost-related aspects of the project.

Requirements

• Relevant Quantity Surveying Qualification
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in joinery - Interior fit-out & shop fitting Industry
• Good knowledge of Joinery Manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts and procurement.
• Proficient in CAD, 3-D modelling.
• Valid UK Drivers Licence.
• Monday to Friday availability (9:00 am - 5:00 pm).
• Newport-based plus travel to sign-off at job locations throughout the UK.
