Here at KDM we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a mechanical bias for a leading engineering and maintenance provider based in Fawley.
The successful applicant will have the following experience:
- Preferably experienced in MSIP/Industrial/Oil and Gas.
- Experience in Lump Sums, Schedule of Rates, Reimbursable works.
- Bespoke Contract with client so able to ascertain main contract obligations.
- Commercially/Contractually risk aware and experienced in mitigation.
- Proactive Change/Variation Management
- Supporting the Application for Payment submission/response
- Communications and Correspondence
- Able to price and estimate works.
- Able to interface with Client and Senior Management.
- Strong analytically with advanced excel capability, typically Nested IF, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP etc
- Forward thinking mitigating margin dilution or identifying and implementing margin improvement opportunities.
- Ability to mentor/coach staff on Best Practice contract/cost management.
- Provide commercial contractual support/knowledge to the project team.
- Monthly reporting:
- Production of cost data
- Analysis of cost data
- Support the Cost and Value Reporting (CVR)
- Support the monthly Application for Payment Submission.
Contract position: 12-18months
