Office Manager – Manufacturing Company
Location: Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire
Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Office Manager to join our growing manufacturing company based in Whaley Bridge. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has experience managing day-to-day office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all administrative tasks, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of office operations
- Maintain and improve office procedures, systems, and policies
- Manage and supervise administrative staff, including receptionists, secretaries, and office assistants
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies
- Manage facilities and handle maintenance requests, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- Implement and maintain office systems, including IT infrastructure, phone systems, and office equipment
- Manage office budgets, conduct cost analysis, and negotiate with suppliers
- Handle employee records and maintain HR documentation, including leave management and health and safety compliance
- Liaise with different departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven work experience as an Office Manager or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Experience with bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial processes
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to work
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
