This Quotation & Delivery Planning Assistant will report to the Quotation & Delivery Planning Team Leader and will work within Connections Projects based in our London Bidder Street office. You will be a permanent employee.

You will attract a salary of £36,691 and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job Purpose:

The Quotation & Delivery Planning Team provides administrative, business and basic technical support to Designers within the Projects Team of the Connections Business.

This covers a range of activities in Design from initial enquiry of an application for a new or altered electricity connection through to quote acceptance; along with close liaison with Network Operations and contractors, preparing workpack documentation and arranging final energisation of new and altered connections.

Principal Accountabilities: Design Process

  • You will support a team of Designers to provide the highest levels of customer service to both internal and external customers.

  • Review customer applications assisting Designers with the requesting of missing information.

  • Manage customer enquiries for new and altered connections of electricity,

  • You'll produce bespoke performance reports for the Connections Manager.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance for the Connections Quotes process, monitoring progress against standards and providing information to the team.

  • Log and maintain accurate details and status of 'Projects' via SAP and other IT systems to allow comprehensive customer records and enable accurate reporting.

  • Source utility plans and network records for Project Designers.

  • Log quotations prepared and issued by Project Designers.

  • Monitor progress of quotations to ensure paid within the validity period, resolving any payment or acceptance of Terms and Conditions queries.

  • Manage handover of enquiries from other teams (Small Services, Disconnections). Customer management being especially critical in these scenarios.

Principal Accountabilities: Delivery Process

  • Prepare workpacks to enable Network Operations Delivery partners to achieve smooth project management

  • Generate meter point administration numbers and maintenance of addresses

  • Help maintain accurate MPAN status on national database, which impacts the Balancing Settlement Code

  • Interface between Supplier, contractor & Delivery teams to manage energisation and de-energisation requests

  • You'll provide data to Finance team to enable accurate allocation of costs to project

Nature and Scope

Reporting to the Quotation & Delivery Planning Team Leader, you will undertake duties relevant to specific roles in the process of a new or altered connection.

The Q&DPA will be the customers' contact for administration and process related queries and assist with technical enquiries to support Designers.

Due to the nature of this work there is a large amount of customer interaction, therefore customer management skills are essential, with the Projects remit seeing a large spectrum of customers.
