Job Purpose: As a Quotation Engineer, you will be a vital part of their sales and bidding process. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare precise and competitive quotations for their products or services, aligning with customer requirements and our capabilities. You'll collaborate closely with our sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure their quotations meet customer expectations and help secure new projects and contracts.
Key Responsibilities for the Quotation Engineer job:
Collaborate with internal engineers and customers on BoM/data queries, providing alternatives for customer approval.Prepare BoM/data using the MES system for internal engineering sign-off.Estimate RFQs using automated electronic quoting software for materials and labour.Load and progress quotes using the ERP system for sales sign-off.Maintain and update systems with accurate customer, company, and opportunity/prospect logs daily.Attend customer meetings as required.Manage inbound enquiries via email and phone.Undertake administrative duties and other relevant roles as needed to support the department.Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors. Qualifications & Experience for the Quotation Engineer job:
Minimum of HND in an Engineering discipline.Ability to understand engineering concepts, electronic components/PCB manufacturing methods, and drawings.Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).Sales experience is desirable.Experience with CRM/ERP/MES systems is advantageous.
