Your job:
Reporting into the Head of Racquets, line-managing the Tennis Coaches & working with the wider club team, the Racquets Co-Ordinator will be responsible for:
- Developing, managing and implementing a comprehensive Racquets Programme for both Juniors and Adults
- Handling the administrative tasks behind any team matches and internal tournaments
- Ensuring the department complies with Health & Safety and policies, acting in accordance with the clubs' own policies and statutory requirements of Regulatory Bodies.
- Ensuring that exciting and engaging lessons are delivered by the Racquets team, leading them to achieve an exceptional standard.
- Exceptional delivery of your own group tennis sessions (both adult and junior sessions will be required)
- Line management of the Racquets team including recruitment, court scheduling, invoicing and training.
- Drive the department to meet all set targets and budgets, exceed commercial success by developing and training existing staff to brand standards.
- Accountable for successfully delivering financial & departmental KPIs, department Health Checks and audits.
What we can’t live without:
To be successful, you’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to work. Friendly and accessible to colleagues, customers and their children, you’ll be a proficient user of all Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel), be highly organised, a standard-setter and have great time-management skills. You’ll have an LTA Level 1,2 or 3 Tennis coaching qualification, with accreditation up to date (including Enhanced DBS).
You’ll have excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond appropriately & professionally to everyone you interact with. You’ll have previous experience of working in a commercial environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work politely and efficiently in all situations. You’ll be proficient in using a computer, with the confidence and competence to learn new systems & databases quickly.
