Radiographer - General/Mammography

We're seeking a passionate professional to join our dedicated imaging team, working across both general and mammography functions.
Bristol
Full time - Working schedule is 37.5 hrs per week mix of general and mammo work. Shifts either 3 x 8-8s or 1 x 8-8, 2 x 8-5 and 1 x 8-5:30.
On call will be covering general x-ray average 1 in every 6 weeks

Key duties

• Maintain a high professional standard in radiography and provide training and guidance to team members.
• Take responsibility for the quality of imaging work, adhering to Our standards.
• Stay updated on technical and clinical developments through continuous training.
• Efficiently manage patient examinations, ensuring accurate details and communication with patients.
• Prioritize and manage workflow, ensuring a smooth throughput of patient examinations.
• Emphasize radiation safety measures and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Proactively identify abnormalities and communicate urgent findings to clinicians.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Radiography with HPC Registration.
• Substantial CPD in clinically related subjects.
• For Mammographers: Certificate of Competency in Mammography or Post Graduate award.
• Previous experience in an imaging department with competence across various radiographic skills.
• Familiarity with standards and external bodies such as the Care Quality Commission.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• IT literacy with proficiency in the MS Office suite.
