, The role of Radiography Departmental Assistant (RDA) will include delegated clinical tasks working alongside Radiographers in clinical specialities including Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound (US), Fluoroscopy and Mammography (Breast Imaging)., , All clinical and administrative work will be under the direct supervision of a Radiographer. The role will help in the efficient running of day to day activities in the Radiology Department. , , The RDA will be expected to undertake appropriate training in clinical and administrative duties., , To be flexible and be prepared to work in all  areas of the Radiology Department, including work across the extended working day., , Main duties of the job
, We are recruiting a Radiography Department Assistant (RDA) to join the team within the radiology department at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. The posts consists of 25 hours per week and will support all aspects of clinical and administrative work in the Radiology Department . The working pattern may include working across the extend day (7:30 - 20:30) in CT and MRI. The RDA will be expected to undertake specific training in each of the clinical modalities. Administrative duties may include stock taking and supporting pharmaceutical ordering. , , The radiology service is patient-focused, service driven and requires flexibility towards service needs. The successful candidate requires excellent communication skills in order to explain the preparation required for the scanning procedures. During the imaging procedures you will care for the patient and ensure they are comfortable. The provision of compassionate care and empathy are essential to the role. You will work alongside radiographers and consultant radiologists to ensure all patients receive excellent care. Duties will be delegated by Supervising Radiographers and/or Consultant Radiologists, while some duties may be completed independently.
