Your role and responsibilities

Due to the growth of our Diagnostic Imaging department, we are looking to recruit an ECVDI or ACVR boarded or board-eligible Veterinary Radiologist at our large, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral hospital in Hertfordshire, UK. We are a friendly, dynamic, passionate, and supportive department comprising two full-time board-certified radiologists, one part-time board-certified radiologist, one board-eligible radiologist, two ECVDI residents, four radiographers, and one intern.

Reporting to: Head of Diagnostic Imaging (Andy Holdsworth).

Hours: full-time (4 days per week) or part-time.

Location: Higham Gobion, Hitchin, SG5 3HR.

The Diagnostic Imaging team work closely alongside specialists and residents from anaesthesia, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, physiotherapy, and soft tissue surgery. Workflow through the department is coordinated by a team of Diagnostic Supervisors, who liaise between all services to ensure that cases are scheduled appropriately and efficiently. Our specialists are supported by an exceptional and highly skilled team of veterinary nurses, veterinary interns, and patient care assistants. We value a collaborative and truly multi-disciplinary approach to deliver the exceptional standards of patient care that we strive for.

Our equipment includes Siemens Magnetom Sempra 1.5T MRI, Siemens Somatom go. All 64-slice CT, Fujifilm computed radiography, Samsung RS80 Evo and RS85A US, and a Siemens mobile C-Arm.
