Job description

As the Rail Administrator Sentinel Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation and coordination of the Sentinel security system within our rail operations. You will collaborate with IT professionals, rail security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the optimal performance and security of our rail infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate Sentinel System Deployment:Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the timely and accurate deployment of the Sentinel security system across various rail departments.

- User Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for rail personnel to ensure a thorough understanding of the Sentinel system. Provide ongoing support to address user inquiries and troubleshoot any issues.

- System Maintenance: Regularly monitor and update the Sentinel system to ensure optimal performance. Coordinate with IT professionals to implement necessary upgrades and patches.

- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the Sentinel system configuration, user guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures specific to the rail sector. Ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Collaboration with Rail Security: Work closely with the rail security team to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures. Collaborate with other Rail Administrators to streamline processes and enhance overall system efficiency.

- Incident Response: Develop and implement effective incident response plans for security events within the rail sector. Act as a point of contact for security incidents, coordinating responses and resolutions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Proven experience in system administration and coordination within the rail sector.

- In-depth knowledge of rail security protocols and regulatory compliance.

- Strong technical proficiency in security systems administration, with experience in Sentinel or similar platforms.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, particularly in a rail operational context.

- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical personnel.
