Amey Infrastructure Wales (AIW) is managing the ambitious programme on behalf of Transport for Wales, with Amey Consulting alongside carrying out design and Amey Rail undertaking the construction across Wales., , As a Rail Engineering Apprentice, Pathway 1: Signalling, you’ll join a growing team to carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements or other instructions. You’ll be stretched, but always supported, surrounded by people who want you to thrive and embrace new challenges, recognising your hard work and looking out for your wellbeing. Your work will have impact, making a genuine difference to people’s lives, often in the very community where you live., , You will be responsible for:, , , As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Rail Infrastructure Engineering Level 3 qualification with Pathway 1: Signalling. You will be fully supported by our partnered college to achieve this qualification by attending college 1-day per week, having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office., , You’ll be provided with a “buddy”, to assist you as you settle in. This is the person will be the friendly face when you join our team – the go-to person that you will ask lots of questions to when you start! Once you have settled in, you will be allocated your mentor in the workplace. Your mentor will support you throughout your qualification, help you learn the technical skills and have regular catch-up with you to ensure that you are on the way to become our next Apprentice superstar!, , At the end of your Apprenticeship, you will move into a guaranteed permanent position with Amey, and your development does not stop there!
