The Role
We are looking for Non-Voting Members of the RAPID Board. The RAPID Board would particularly welcome applications from persons with expertise and experience in major infrastructure project delivery and/or resilience planning encompassing environment and/or climate change.
The role will require attendance at quarterly meetings of the RAPID Board. Participation in ad hoc meetings of the RAPID Board outside of the quarterly cycle, through correspondence between meetings and otherwise through advice and assistance on matters relevant to the RAPID Board's work outside of meetings may also be required.
Key Deliverables:
- Attend quarterly meetings of the RAPID Board
- Participate in ad hoc meetings of the RAPID Board outside of the quarterly cycle
- Participate in correspondence between meetings
- Provide advice and assistance on matters relevant to the RAPID Board's work outside of meetings
Desirable Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- Experience at Board level in a similar or comparable organisation
- Analytical skills, sound independent judgment and an ability and willingness to challenge
- Experience in major infrastructure project delivery
- Experience in resilience planning encompassing environment and/or climate change
- High standards of conduct including impartiality, integrity and objectivity in the execution of roles and responsibilities.
Remuneration & Expenses
The role is classed as an appointment, and not as employment. The remuneration for this role is expected to be £700 per day, which includes reading and preparation time as well as meeting attendance. Expenses are payable for expenditure reasonably and necessarily incurred on behalf of Ofwat and in accordance with Ofwat’s travel expenses policy from time to time.
