Job description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic person to join our client's team.The Raw Materials Controller will control all Raw Material stock entering the factory, ensuring all stock is received safely and compliant with BRC.Ensure all stock required for the factory is picked and transferred on time in full and in batch rotation.Role and Responsibilities:- Manage the RM storeroom to ensure that materials are stored safely and that quality is maintained during storage.- Manage intake of all liquid deliveries, ensure compliant receipt, and correct- Ensure daily bulk liquid tank readings are taken and communicated to the supply chain and purchasing manager.- Ensure all raw material stock is issued and returned accurately.- Run the RM room to attain the maximum use of space and controlled stock rotation to reduce waste.- Ensure all daily routines are carried out and completed.- Carry out weekly sheet-to-floor stock checks issued by the Supply Chain manager and Stores supervisor and- Work safely at all times, taking care of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omission- Be conversant with and comply with all company rules, policies, and procedures regarding Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, and employment expectations/code of conduct, etc.- Maintain the immediate working area in a clean and safe manner, always working to a 'Clean as you go' principle.- Operate at all times in accordance with the company's QMS policies.- Discharge all duties in accordance with best practice and specific role responsibilities.- Report all equipment defects and faults that may cause harm to colleagues or compromise product quality, legality or safety.- Maintain a satisfactory level of personal hygiene.- Wear and care for all PPE (personnel protective equipment) according to procedures.- Achieve or better the standard performance rate to meet company KPI targets.- Immediately report any shortages for planned work orders to management and planning.- Take part in all company training and process improvement when required- Complete the Basic Food Hygiene certificate.- Effectively complete all paperwork or record keeping as required and return/submit at the end of shift.- Ensure trace cards and traceability are maintained at all times.- Carry out any other role or tasks as deemed necessary within the factory as instructed by a Team Leader or manager.Essential Skills Required:- Methodical, with attention to detail- Ability to work independently as well as being part of a team- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Time management- Experience in the food production industry- An FLT Licence would be an advantage, however, training can be given to the successful candidate.Mon to Fri 0600 - 1400 flexibility maybe required during busy periods.This is a Temp to Perm position and a Permanent job could be offered to a suitable candidate after 8 weeks.CVs required, for more details please call or send your CV to Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
