Raw Materials Picker

Based in Avonmouth, Plant-Ex ingredients in an international company specialising in the manufacture of Natural Food Ingredient Solutions, supplying across the globe either directly through our own facilities or through a number of selected distribution partners.

We specialise in spray drying food colourings and flavours as well as production of liquid food colours, flavours and extracts.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Raw Materials Picker!

As a Raw Materials Picker you will be required to pick and prepare Raw Materials as required to meet the production schedule.

This role is working 40 hours per week, day shift, Monday to Friday.

You will work in a small team and between you, manage the required workload to ensure that production have the materials they need to produce in advance of when they need them.

Responsibilities include:

· Picking Raw Materials from Raw Material Storage

· Palletising Raw Materials for use in production, taking care that ONLY the correct materials and required amounts are palletised. Weighing of Raw certain Raw Materials will be required

· Ensuring raw material weights are the same as the labels.

· Recording batch numbers and weights accurately on all works orders.

· Ensuring only passed and labelled Raw Materials are picked, with oldest batches being picked first.

· Morning meeting with production manager to go over daily tasks

· Organising, maintaining and picking of re-work, ensuring all rework is used in production to minimise stock holding.

· Managing and maintaining Raw materials warehouse to ensure it is kept stocked, clean and uncrowded so as not to hinder production.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

No experience needed - we offer full training!

We are looking for driven people who want to get involved and succeed in our fast-paced company.

You need to have basic reading and writing skills for recording batch numbers, and basic computer skills for sending emails.

You need to be physically fit and be able to lift 25kg comfortably.

FLT licence would be an advantage but not necessary

We are looking for individuals with a problem solving and "can do attitude"

You will need to be able to reliably commute to Avonmouth
