PepsiCo is looking for Ingridient Specification Writer to join in Leicester on 2 years Fixed Term contract position.
Job Purpose
Join the Research & Development team in PepsiCo in Europe Foods in Leicester who deliver innovation, sustainability & change programmes across a multi-billion dollar European category working on iconic brands such as Walkers crisps & Doritos Tortilla chips. Work alongside product developers & the broader R&D team to capture & digitize technical specifications for PepsiCo Foods products – ensuring our specifications capture the essence of our delicious products.
Responsibilities- Digitizing Ingredient specifications on behalf of Product Development (PD) / Technical Stewardship Brand (TBS) teams for all innovation, TBS and productivity projects
- Working with PD, procurement and regulatory to coordinate and assemble specifications
- Coordination of specification approval workflows within SAP with PD and TDC partners to ensure all specifications are approved within required project timelines
- Working with commercialization and DMO to ensure required R&D data is handed off for PGT material / BOM set ups (UK/ Poland) and traceability between R&D specifications and supply chain materials maintained for non-PGT market
- Working with SDSA to ensure specification reports are generated and available in conjunction with project timelines needs (enabling the handover to manufacturing process).
- Working with R&D data governance and to raise change requests to ensure required data attributes are available for use in SAP
- Support with ad-hoc R&D specification gap resolution requests
- Identifying areas of opportunity with regards to way of working enhancements with PD, TDC, Commercialization, DMO and SC partners
- Support in coordination and execution of specification obsoletion
- The successful candidate will be required to work in an evolving environment as a newly deployed system will require evolution of working practises & adaptability as business processes are created & changed.
- High education; food technology or chemist, or similar; at least 2-3 years in food Industry, preferable Product Development, Quality Assurance / Control or Regulatory.
- Learning agility, self-motivation and desire for continuous self-improvement.
- Team player and works well with cross-functional, cross-regional and cross-cultural teams.
- Can work independently and has initiative for problem solving.
- Self-starter, self-motivating.
- Previous experience in handling relationship with suppliers is preferable.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficient
- Effective communication skills, both verbal (i.e. presentation, conference calls) and written (i.e. reports, e-mails) in English.
