Religious Education (RE) Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in the study of various religious beliefs, practices, and values, promoting a deep understanding and respect for diverse cultures and perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging RE lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a wide range of religious traditions and philosophies.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages respectful discussion and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of world religions and contemporary religious issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
