My client’s on the lookout for a React Native Developer with a passion for health technology and experience in wearable health API integration. The role involves creating applications that work with Apple Watch and Android Watch, focusing on health vitals tracking and analysis. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in React Native and a keen interest in the latest wearable tech trends.
Day to Day of the role:
• Develop and maintain React Native applications for iOS and Android, integrating with Apple Watch and Android Watch APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features for wearable health integration.
• Design user interfaces for displaying health data from wearable devices.
• Ensure application performance and reliability across different devices and platforms.
• Stay updated with developments in wearable technology and health APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wearable device integration.
• Optimise application code for efficiency and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with team members to maintain a high-quality codebase.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in React Native development for iOS and Android.
• Expertise in wearable device API integration, especially for Apple Watch and Android Watch.
• Familiarity with health data standards and APIs like HealthKit and Google Fit.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and mobile app architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data formats.
• Knowledge of Git and collaborative coding tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with cloud services and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant projects is highly advantageous.
