Reading & Literacy Tutor
Location: Ilkeston, DE7
Days: 3 days (any 3 days)
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £100 - £125 per day
Start Date: Monday 11th March 2024 or ASAP
Contract: Fixed Term until July 2024

LTF have partnered with a Secondary School in Ilkeston to source a Reading & Literacy Tutor to support students on a 1:1 basis. The role will involve supporting students in KS3 & KS4 supporting their reading and literacy development working within the Lexonik Reading Intervention Programme.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Working KS3 & KS4 students to develop their reading capabilities
- Delivering content on a 1:1 basis, working with students based around specialised development programme
- Working with students who are below their suggested reading age, developing both reading and literacy skills
- Liaising with Literacy Coordinator to devise effective improvement strategies
The schools are looking to appoint someone who:
- Is a competent tutor/educator with at least one years' experience
- Has an understanding of supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Has excellent communication skills and can build relationships quickly
- Is capable of leading small group interventions and facilitating progress effectively
- Is dedicated to working with students in order to raise attainment
