Abbey School is a small, co-ed prep school and nursery for children from birth to 11 years. We have an excellent academic record and offer high quality, all-round education in our well-resourced and equipped setting in the heart of St. Marychurch, Torquay.

We want to employ an enthusiastic, committed and confident teacher to join our team. Applications are welcomed from those particularly interested in teaching EYFS and KS1 (Years 1 & 2).

The post is fixed for two terms, Summer Term 2024 - Monday 22nd April (Maternity Cover).

This post would suit a dynamic teacher with a secure knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience of the independent sector would be an advantage. Applications will be welcomed from experienced teachers from EYFS or KS1. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic teacher, with excellent classroom practice and high expectations. The successful candidate will need to be caring and professional, willing to become an active member of our school and be able to develop excellent relationships with parents, pupils and colleagues.
