Reception Teacher Job at a Primary School in Wigan, January start, long-term role Your new company
Hays education has been approached by a primary school in the Wigan area who are currently recruiting for a Reception Teacher job. The school are looking for someone to start in January and continue until the end of the summer term and this will be on a full-time basis. As an EYFS teacher within this school, you will be responsible for creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment for the children to learn. You will be required to use strong curriculum knowledge, allowing you to be flexible in your approach and use effective techniques to engage all the children in the class.
Your new role
This new role will start in January 2024 through to the end of the summer term. It is a perfect role for those who have a passion for the early years Primary School teaching. You will be taking on full teaching responsibilities, which will include planning and delivering lessons, you will need to make these fun and engaging and ensure they suit the needs of the pupils. Class sizes are reasonable, and you should have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour. You will need to be available to start in the January term and hit the ground running.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status. Experience in teaching EYFS/KS1, specifically reception, is preferred, but the school is open to KS1/2 experience. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills.
