We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to a reception-aged student in our vibrant school setting. Position:Reception Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Mornings Only Location: Nottingham City
Contract: Part-Time (Mornings Only),
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a reception-aged student with specific learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised support strategies and accommodations to meet the student's needs.
- Assist the student with tasks and activities in the classroom, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
- Foster positive relationships with the student, building trust and rapport to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO to inform future planning and interventions.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with young children, particularly those with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality of opportunity for all students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) would be advantageous but not essential.
