Role Summary

This role will be responsible for quality assurance across all client money calculations, reconciliations and tasks across all the platforms. Trend analysis via errors and breach and to implement controls to protects our obligations in fulfilling our regulatory responsibilities. Documenting new processes and controls and training relevant staff members across the reconciliations teams offshore and onshore.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Timely validation of the daily reconciliation output to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • To be accountable for your own work and tasks, requesting assistance where necessary
  • Ensure the completion of the reconciliation obligations of the Reconciliation and Control team; ensuring that regulatory requirements are met at all times.
  • Provide support and point of escalation through to resolution, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution, including issue and breach recording
  • Ensure operational procedures and control documentation are regularly reviewed and updated with operational changes in line with regulatory standards
  • Develop close working relationships with the internal stakeholders in order to drive timely resolution of reconciliation breaks and identify methods for addressing root cause, resolution and preventative action
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors to meet their request for information and sample of reconciliations and controls
  • Recommend and implement changes to the way in which the team operates to improve service quality and process efficiency, supporting line management in the implementation of centrally driven changes when required
  • Lead by example, motivate, develop yourself, remaining proactive and striving for excellence
  • Triage issues and failures impacting the Reconciliations systems by liaising with the reconciliation tech team and IT/EQX.
  • Represent the department in audits as an SME.
  • Build and develop positive internal and external relationships to maximise business opportunities
  • Able to manage your own time by assessing workloads, escalating to Management when required
  • Assist in the creation and support of MI
  • To provide support in Governance meetings with the Operational Teams to ensure timely resolution of reconciliation breaks, including documentation of the meetings to demonstrate oversight and control
