Job description

An opportunity is available for a Records Assistant within the Low Carbon Technology (LCT) Team based at Bodmin.

In this role you will provide administrative support services to National Grids Electricity Distribution business, reporting to the Records Team Manager.

You will need to have at least 4 GCSEs OR equivalent in order to apply. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.

*Please note the successful candidate may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant training is complete.

If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main ResponsibilitiesProcessing Low Carbon Technology enquiries Car Charging, Solar Generation and Heat Pumps for the organisation.

The role could then extend to cover other enquiry types including:


Dealing with both verbal and written enquiries for New Supplies for the Company.
Raising Crown enquiries.
Processing meter move packs & dealing with payments.
Dealing with customer queries relating to service alterations.
Processing LV supply packs.


Although this position is primarily based within the Low Carbon Technology Team, you may be required to assist in dealing with enquiries for the New Supplies Team as required.
The Ideal CandidateYou will be customer focused, self motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will be required when dealing with both internal and external contacts. You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team, using your own initiative and representing the company positively at all times.
