Exciting Opportunity: Recovery Coordinator - Families and Parenting at St Helens Integrated Recovery Service

Are you passionate about supporting families impacted by substance use? St Helens Integrated Recovery Service is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Recovery Coordinator - Families and Parenting r for the innovative Building Bridges Project.

About Us:
At St Helens Integrated Recovery Service, we are committed to providing rapid and open access to assessment and interventions for individuals facing challenges with drugs and/or alcohol. Our mission is to facilitate the transition from addiction to independence through a range of clinical and psychosocial interventions. As part of this mission, we have developed the Building Bridges Service, an established team that takes a holistic, family-centred approach to supporting families affected by parental substance use.

About the Role:
As a Recovery Coordinator - Families and Parenting within the Building Bridges Project, you will play a crucial role in providing dedicated therapeutic interventions and support to families in need. Working closely with St Helens Children's Services and partner agencies, you will contribute to a collaborative effort to identify and address substance use issues within families. Under the guidance of the Team Leader, you will deliver comprehensive care packages to adult service users while also providing specialist insight into the impact of parental substance use on children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a care coordinator for service users and families, conducting assessments, care planning, and reviews to improve well-being and engagement.
  • Deliver individual support packages for families to address the impact of parental substance use.
  • Develop and implement pathways in collaboration with local partners such as Early Intervention & Targeted Support, Families First, and Children's Social Care.
  • Ensure service users receive high-quality care that adheres to best practice guidelines and professional standards.
  • Liaise closely with St Helens Council, social work, and early help staff to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.
  • Work within the multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) screening referrals made to Childrens service and providing specialist insight regarding the impact of parental substance use
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a substance use or family support setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users and partner agencies.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the impact of substance use on families.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple operational sites within the borough as required.
