Role Overview:
As a Recovery Practitioner in our private hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients following surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients post-surgery, assessing their condition, and providing appropriate interventions to promote recovery and comfort. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility and make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the recovery room, adhering to clinical protocols and best practices
- Monitor vital signs, assess pain levels, and manage post-operative complications as needed
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care and smooth patient transitions
- Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Act as a resource and mentor for junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and development
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse or ODP qualification with current registration
- Proven experience working in a theatre or recovery setting, preferably within a private hospital environment
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of post-operative care practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Commitment to upholding professional standards and delivering patient-centered care
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
