Job description

Are you an experienced Recruitment Resourcer? Or have you recently completed further education and looking to start a career in Recruitment? Or do you just fancy a change and want to get into recruitment? If so, this vacancy could be for you!

We are a small friendly family run recruitment consultants based in Chorley Town Centre, Lancashire. We have been established for 28 years and recruit solely within the building products industry. We recruit for Manufacturers and Merchants within building products for permanent Sales to Director level vacancies.

Due to continued growth we are looking for an a Recruitment Resourcer or a Apprentice Recruitment Resourcer to join our team, this is a really exciting opportunity to be part of our growth journey! We are not your typical recruitment agency in that we work towards a team target not an individual target, you will be very well supported by our highly experienced senior recruitment consultants who have been with the business for a combination of 44 years!

This is a fast paced role which will be split, making outbound calls, database maintenance, general administration however the main responsibility is sourcing new candidates via LinkedIn, Job boards, Networking and Headhunting. Other duties include:

  • Outbound calling candidates to discuss potential job vacancies.
  • Improving the database by filling in more information on candidates and clients.
  • Adding new CVs to database.
  • New vacancy creation - Seeing opportunities and discussing with potential clients the interest in working with Sharples Davies.
  • Phone prospective new candidates (This will be a priority and will be a daily task).
  • Speaking to candidates throughout the UK running new vacancies passed them.
  • Headhunting. (Using variety of techniques to find candidates for all vacancies.
  • LinkedIn & Social Media development.
  • Producing internal literature to a professional standard to share with clients.
  • Discussing candidates and doing candidate introductions via MS Teams, Zoom, or face to face.
  • Any other duties which may be required in the capacity of your role. This will include general housekeeping.
  • Answering the phone after work hours when calls are diverted to the mobiles from the office.

Key Skills:

People Skills - This is essential as this role involves a high amount of outbound calling. Must be confident to talk to new people and build rapports to understand their career aspirations.

Customer Service - This is the heart of what we do, we have a strong reputation built up over 28 years and treat all candidates with respect. Building rapport, calling back when we say we will, offering advice, giving constructive feedback and always advising candidates of the outcome for vacancies they have applied for.

Fast Learner - This is a fast paced and demanding role therefore must have the ability to pick up on things taught and apply quickly.

Self-motivated - Due to the business being fast paced it is essential you are able to manage your own time efficiently without the need of assistance.

Work Ethic - The thing that our team has in common is a strong work ethic.

Communication Skills - Can communicate with candidates & clients however also internally with the consultants.

Organisation & Planning Skills - It’s important to see the value to the business, see the bigger picture and prioritise workload effectively.

Computer Skills - Word, Excel, and Outlook are the Microsoft programs used. Our CRM HRS will be taught.

** Candidates do not need to have any experience within recruitment or building products industry as this will be taught**

Remuneration:

  • Base Salary £24,000 - £25,000 (If an apprentice this will be discussed at interview)
  • Bonus paid on assignment filled
  • Discretionary Christmas Bonus
  • Contributory Pension
  • Mobile Phone or contribution to your own for business use
  • 20 Days Holidays + Statutory + Christmas Shutdown (don’t need to save holiday typically works out at an additional 5 days) + your Birthday off

Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 09:00am - 5:00pm Fridays 09:00am - 4:00pm
