The Talent and Culture team work within the People and Culture Directorate which provides a range of services to deliver a workforce that is fit for purpose, skilled, engaged and in the right quantity to deliver high-quality and person-centred care to patients.

The Role

NHS Orkney are recruiting for a Team Lead to lead the Recruitment team.

The successful applicant will assist the Talent and Culture Manager as a subject matter expert in end-to-end recruitment, including international and temporary worker (agency) recruitment.

You will be responsible for organising the work of a small team, allocating resources ensuring the delivery of a first-class candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate goals for the team and prioritise workload to ensure the delivery and management of effective recruitment campaigns.
  • Support the team to deliver against SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Support internal stakeholders with their recruitment needs
  • Delivering activities that support and build NHS Orkney’s employer brand
  • Supporting candidates through their application process
  • Working towards continuous improvement across the wider team
  • Provide recruitment advice, guidance and support to the team and all candidates
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the team

Successful Applicant

  • Knowledge and experience of end-to-end operational recruitment management
  • Experience of managing a team and allocation of workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient user of all Microsoft 365 packages and associated applications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in collaborating with external partners
  • Experience in leading change initiatives
