EXPERIENCE IS NOT NEEDED- FULL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED

Shift: 10am to 6pm Wed, Thurs & Fri + 8am(or)9am to 5pm Sat + Sun

Core tasks:

Extract polythene plastics from incoming Dolavs and wheeled 1100ltr bins to feed the plastics baler.

Create bales when prompted by baler.

Extract other recyclable wastes where presented (buckets/foil trays/cans/bottles/paper/ppe/PET trays/label backing paper/polystyrene etc) and transfer to segregation points.

Strip top films from trays during quiet periods.

Cable Dolav - snip off any plugs transfer plugs to WEEE Dolav

WEEE Dolav - only electrical elements - if time allows and safe to do so, strip items present removing any plastics / metal (transferring to separate storage areas) to leave only the circuit boards (ie light fittings - remove light cover and base). This helps to reduce costs and bulk.

You will work alongside another Recycling Operative who will be present from 6am to 2pm, for 4 hours of the day on Wed, Thurs, Fri.
