Recycling Plant Operator

Leicestershire County Council are looking for a Recycling Plant Operator to work at two different sites in Leicestershire.

The position is to work in the recycling centres, assist customers with recycling and operate plant, such has loading shovels, tele handler and forklift trucks.

You will be required to have experience of driving a Loading Shovel, have a certificate or willing to gain a Loading Shovel Certificate.  You also need to have your own vehicle and full driving licence. Also, a forklift truck licence would be preferred but not necessary.

This position also requires you to complete heavy lifting and have good customer service skills. Together with being flexible as you may be requested to work on Bank Holidays or after normal hours of work.

The position is to work between two sites, Whetstone and Kibworth, therefore you will need to be able to work get to both sites.

Working hours: - During the winter at 9am – 4pm, during the summer 9am – 7pm.

Days of work: - Saturday and Sunday, plus 3 days in the week.

Wages: - £13 per hour
