Referral Coordinator

County Durham

Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw)

Pay £11.51 per hour (£22,500 per year), plus great benefits including Health cash plan

Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.

We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have tenancy related support needs to access the most appropriate service.

We help our customers develop independent living skills and empower them to live fulfilling lives. You’ll be responsible for taking and processing referrals into our services from self-referrals and referring agencies, signposting to other agencies if they do not meet our eligibility criteria.

You’ll process referrals through our information management system such as assessment outcomes and customer data and you’ll be working with our local Client Service Managers too. Networking throughout County Durham, you’ll promote our services and have up to date knowledge about other service offers in the area.

Working within the Central Resource Team you’ll also be supporting the wider team covering services throughout the region when needed.

About our team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’.

We have a diverse team carrying out a variety of roles supported by managers Libby, Shannon, Tom and Sam who are perfectly placed to supported you.

Working hours

As a team, we’re critical to supporting our customers. This means you’ll work core hours of 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The good news is that you’ll have a degree of flexibility, as it’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life.

So, whether it’s your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or getting your new fridge delivered, we’ll work with you on what matters. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!

About you

You’re passionate and motivated to provide the highest quality of customer service to our customers, referrers, commissioners, and colleagues. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative as well as working collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and other agencies. You’ll be great at administration and be a whiz on Microsoft Office and Excel and Information Management systems. You’ll also have an eye for detail and be passionate about providing positive outcomes for our customers!

You’ll be responsible for taking and processing referrals into our services from self-referrals and referring agencies, signposting to other agencies if they do not meet our eligibility criteria. You will be processing referrals through our information management system such as assessment outcomes and customer data and you’ll be working with our local Client Service Managers.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) You’ll be given the latest IT kit, which could include a Surface Pro tablet and smart phone, supported by our new online integrated IT system which means that you don’t have to be in the office as you can complete support plans on the go.

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!

As this is a community-based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay you expenses to cover this use!

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.  This remains under regular review.
