Referral Order & Volunteer Lead

We are currently seeking a Referral Order & Volunteer Lead to join their team. As the Referral Order & Volunteer Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating Referral Order panels and managing the recruitment, training, supervision, and development of Referral Order volunteers. In addition, you will supervise children and young people referred to the Youth Justice & Targeted Prevention Service by Court and Police. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and promote their well-being.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Referral Order panels
• Manage the recruitment, training, supervision, and development of Referral Order volunteers
• Supervise children and young people referred to the Youth Justice & Targeted Prevention Service by Court and Police
• Take responsibility for managing Referral Order cases
• Work collaboratively with the local Youth Justice Partnership, including Police, Probation, Health, and Childrens Social Care
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Youth Justice & Targeted Prevention Service

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in a Youth Justice setting
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Commitment to promoting the well-being of young people

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Professional qualification in Youth Justice or related field (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS check
