Sutton Recruitment are accepting applications for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading global storage solution provider, dedicated to offering innovative and reliable storage options worldwide.

The Company currently operates globally with 24 sites in the UK with further growth anticipated.
Overview of the main Refrigeration Engineer responsibilities;
Highly motivated and meticulous Refrigeration Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience preferably working on refrigerated containers, desired but not essential. As a Refrigeration Engineer you will be responsible for monitoring and repairing container refrigeration units both on site and off site, as required.
Specific work task and responsibilities of the Refrigeration Engineer;
Tasks and responsibilities within the role will include, but not be limited to:
• Carry out maintenance, retrofit and repair within set timeframes and according to defined process, service agreements and customer needs on various types of equipment.
• Activities will also including the planned and preventative maintenance, defect identification and repair on large scale marine refrigerated containers,
• Installation and commissioning,
• Survey and report writing,
• Setting up refrigerated containers onsite so they operate efficiently and reliably,
• Creating and maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that risk assessments are carried out,
• You will act as a technical “on the job” coach for less experienced service team members and may help coordination of onsite work activity for multi person jobs,
• Complete planned works on the refrigeration units within the Depot / some site and customer visits and resolve customer requests / calls as necessary.
• Develop positive customer relationships, ensure pro-active feedback on and documentation of the customer’s equipment of work completed.
Requirements of the Refrigeration Engineer;
• Electrical fault-finding ability and experience of testing and commissioning;
• F-Gas Qualification;
• Level 2 / 3 in Air-Conditioning and refrigeration or equivalent;
• Competent in brazing refrigeration pipework;
• Mechanical aptitude and sound engineering skills;
• At least 5 years previous experience in the refrigeration industry;
• Transport Refrigeration knowledge preferable;
• An excellent approach to H&S requirements;
• Flexible to work outside normal business hours at times and overtime if required, as well as staying away overnight and some call out work;
• IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft systems and the ability to produce reports;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Adaptable to change and able to work under pressure, if needed;
• Possession of strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills;
• Able to manage required commissioning and completion paperwork to a high standard;
• Often the first point of contact to represent the Company in a professional manner;
• Good attention to detail;
• Full driving licence;

Start date: As soon as possible.
Bonus: paid twice yearly.
Holidays: 25 days per annum, plus bank holidays.

Salary Date: On or before 25th of each month.
Company Vehicle: Company van available for customer site visits.
Company Equipment: Laptop / Mobile
Hours of work: 40 hours per week 8am – 5pm plus overtime as and when necessary paid at time and a half.
