SalaryWe are recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer for a food manufacturer based in Peterhead.
You will be responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of the factory refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Chief Engineer and Engineering Team Leaders in all aspects of site refrigeration.
- Maintaining the site plant to ensure it runs efficiently and optimum working conditions are maintained.
- Creating, implementing and regularly reviewing and updating a refrigeration maintenance programme.
- Minimising downtime with call out support.
- Providing status reports and continuing reports regarding the system.
- Providing site training to the engineering department to increase their awareness and to enable them to assist and provide support with regards to maintenance.
- Providing training, support and guidance to Refrigeration Engineer apprentices.
- Advising the Chief Engineer of any issues that arise.
- Providing recommendations on changes for cost savings and performance improvements.
- To assist in other areas of factory with engineering support as and when required.
Experience and skills required:
- Formal industry recognised Refrigeration Engineering qualification such as NVQ Diploma level 2/3 in Servicing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems.
- Can demonstrate and possesses the appropriate technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required e.g.2079 Refrigerant handling, ACRIB, Ammonia, FGAS.
