Are you an experienced Refuse Driver with a Class 2 vehicle licence? Our client, a leading waste management organisation in Rochdale, is looking for a skilled and reliable Refuse Driver to join their team! 💪
✨ The Role:
As a Refuse Driver, you will play a vital role in providing full assistance to the Recycling/Refuse Loaders. You will be responsible for operating a Class 2 vehicle, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any defects promptly. Additionally, you'll perform routine maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations and optimise vehicle performance. 🚚
📝 Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Recycling/Refuse Loaders efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct daily Operators Licence vehicle checks, keeping accurate record sheets.
- Immediately report any vehicle or equipment defects to the Vehicle Fleet Management service.
- Undertake routine maintenance and repairs, minimising breakdowns and ensuring compliance.
- Operate the vehicle in a way that supports the team in achieving their round targets.
- Safely load and unload heavy loads onto the bin wagon. ⚙️
🔨 Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Refuse Driver.
- Valid Class 2 driver's licence
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practises.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate gear, including safety boots and high visibility vest. 👷♀️👷♂️
