AddressWe're looking for a Regional Commercial Director to join our Construction team working within the Public Sector based in London.
Location: London - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

What will you be responsible for?
As a Regional Commercial Director, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in providing strategic, visible and directive leadership across area of responsibility and other selected projects as required. The role will also perform Business Unit wide duties as required by the Commercial Director or Managing Director. The role will involve developing and implementing the commercial strategy for the region of responsibility and then develop and manage the commercial activities to ensure that the strategy is a successfully delivered.
Your day to day will include:
- Accountable for leading, managing and motivating the commercial team as well as cross functional teams including procurement and administration.
- A talent leader, able to identify, grow and progress fast potential talent to build long-term organisational capability for the region and group as a whole
- Driving the execution of the national procurement strategy across all projects. Ensuring we leverage our scale by excellent demand planning and cross project procurement liaising with other parts of the BU/stream as required.
- Ensure technically the bids are challenged in terms of design and programme to ensure the full risk profile is clearly understood
- Lead and drive creativity and plans to maximise margin and cash
What are we looking for?
This role of Regional Commercial Director is great for you if you have:
- A proven track record of leading a large portfolio of construction projects with strong front-end experience
- Ability to lead the resolution of complex disputes
- Ability to design and implement strategic change
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to establish and build teams with appropriate skills, and to recruit, train, retain.
