Position: Regional Development Manager
Location: Southern England
Salary: 40,000 to 50,000 DOE

In the pursuit of a Regional Development Manager, Our Client aims to meet sales targets by securing additional projects and infill contracts within the region. The role entails nurturing relationships, identifying opportunities, and preparing timely pricing and proposals. Services include landscape construction, grounds maintenance, arboriculture, winter gritting, and minor building projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Retention of current regional contracts
- Proactively build client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline and win rate
- Support Preferred Supplier Relationships
- Ensure the timely delivery of compliant bids, quotes, proposals and tenders
- Develop the written proposal, both in terms of content and presentation
- Ensure relevant sign off
- Ensure the CRM system is up to date
- Maintain a forward pipeline of opportunities for next 12 months on a rolling basis and work with key members of the Regional team
- Actively manage the routes to market
- Keep the business informed as opportunities progress
- Attend marketing events and support content creation including case studies and award nominations
Required Experience
- Operational experience in the Grounds Maintenance industry
- Commercially astute
- Able to build and develop lasting relationships with clients and operations
- Proven negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work to strict time deadlines
- Proven ability to organically win new work with new and existing customers
- Good team player
- Strong attention to detail; maintaining high standards and accuracy
- Confident and articulate in all communications i.e. face-to-face, telephone and written communications
- Driving Licence daily travel to customer sites
Desirable
- Previous sales experience
- BD and public sector bid experience
- QS qualifications
