Regional Engineering Lead

Anderselite is in search of a Regional Engineering Lead for our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor operating in the South West Water region. Situated in Devon, this role involves close collaboration with the client and the broader team to oversee the development of designs from concept to completion. You'll be responsible for ensuring all design activities and outputs, stakeholder engagement, 3rd Party liaison, and compliance with client and industry standards are met, all while fostering a robust health and safety culture.
As the senior member of the Engineering group in the region, you'll report directly to the Head of Engineering. Your key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring the tactical delivery of the Engineering Strategy within the region.
• Defining the regional Design Management Plan, including design philosophy and regional values, in alignment with the Engineering Strategy.
• Maintaining cost and schedule performance for all work in the region.
• Cultivating relationships with the region's client organizations and delivery colleagues.
• Promoting collaborative working relationships across design teams, construction/delivery colleagues, partners, and suppliers, assuming a leadership role in Engineering within the region.
• Handling duty of care issues within the region.
• Managing design subcontracts and subcontractor performance in the region.
• Planning design activities in the region, optimizing the use of template designs and adhering to standard practices.
• Providing task time estimates for all regional projects.
• Implementing common, secure information management systems in the region.
• Overseeing the delivery of the Engineering Strategy within the region.
• Managing client relationships and service delivery.
• External design supplier management.
• Comprehensive workload and resource management across the region, including planning, management, reporting, and forecasting.
Experience/Skillset:
• Proven experience in technical project delivery within a design-build environment.
• Background in the water treatment industry.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills in handling multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Degree in an engineering-related discipline or substantial relevant experience.
• Results-driven with the ability to set targets, manage, and motivate teams to achieve time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Technical and design management proficiency.
• Ability to identify and manage project delivery risks.
