Principal People are excited to be recruiting for a UK Wide organisation to help recruit for a Health and Safety Advisor.
This role will be a very operational position covering sites across the South West and South Wales to help improve the Health and Safety culture by working and engaging with the site teams. You will have a flexible approach to travel and plan your own diary.
This family run company have been in business for over 50 years and are the market leaders in their field. The business are on a growth projection and aim to cover more industries and expand the team which makes this role a key part to the growth.
You will be reporting to a supportive HSE Manager who has a keen eye of developing the team, and you will work with a wider HSE team who are all very supportive of one another.
This role is suited to people who are looking to progress in their Health and Safety career and take the next step into a regional Health and Safety position with plenty of support towards developing their career.
Regional Health and Safety Advisor Exeter Up to 45,000 + Car Transport / Plant Hire
The minimum requirements for this role are:
- NEBOSH General Certificate / IOSH Managing Safely
- Be able to communicate effectively.
- Have a full UK Driving License
- 1-3 years of experience within a Health and Safety role previously
- Passion to develop a strong Health and Safety Career within a growing business
- To promote effective EHS Management including influencing behaviour and promoting H&S culture of continuous improvement across the sites
- To ensure that all EHS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are reviewed, updated, and communicated.
- Support the Health and Safety Manager by implementing a positive safety strategy across the business
- To ensure risk assessments and safe working procedures are completed and reviewed within relevant timescales.
- To ensure all accidents are documented, investigated, and implement any corrective action.
- To establish a programme of audits, inspection, and training liaising with the relevant external providers.
- Funding for training and qualifications such as the NEBOSH Diploma to go towards your professional development.
