An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful Partnerships and Opportunities Team as a Regional Partnership Lead. The position will take a leading role in ensuring that NHSBSAs regional strategy and activities are successfully achieved so that the NHSBSA remains efficient and effective.
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Opportunities, we want your strategic mindset, proven ability to build robust, authentic relationships, collaborate effectively & create positive and productive team culture to ensure NHSBSA is in prime strategic and tactical positioning to achieve our goals and aims. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Partnership Lead to join the NHS Business Services Authority, based in London or the South East. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the health and/or care sectors and will have a proven track record of building and developing relationships, collaborating across organisational and geographical boundaries.
Although home-based, you will be required to travel across London and the South East to attend events and meetings.
The Regional Partnership Lead will develop a deep understanding and robust relationships across the region, including Integrated Care Systems and NHS Regional teams. The lead will use these relationships to identify how NHSBSA can best support regional and local systems, spread the word about the fantastic services we offer, and share insight back into the organisation to support the development of our services and ambitions.

In this role you are accountable for:
Working with the Head of Partnerships and Opportunities ensure there is a robust strategy and plan for the Region, ensuring the direction and performance of personnel is delivered and managed in order for the NHSBSA to achieve its vision, retention and growth targets as well as contribute to the development of the organisation’s strategic and annual business plans.
Acting as a senior manager of the Partnerships and Opportunities team and wider business team, work within the corporate governance framework and demonstrate the values and capabilities of the organisation and ensuring that the NHSBSA meets its statutory and legislative obligations.
As a senior member of the Partnerships and Opportunities team and wider business playing an active and collaborative role in the effective management and achievement of the goals of the NHS Business Services Authority, recognising the significant impact that the NHSBSA’s activities has on many people and services within the NHS.
Developing and implementing appropriate Partnerships and Engagement strategies, models, and methodologies in the nominated Region/s to actively manage activities across the NHSBSA and partners ensuring the brand and reputation of NHSBSA is optimally positioned at all times.
Leading and managing the Partnerships and Opportunities team and matrix Partnership and Opportunity Development network within the Region/s agreeing appropriate performance and return on investment targets
Acting up for the Head of Partnerships and Opportunities as required.
Working as part of the Team, particularly in terms of accountability for delivery of the NHSBSA Partnerships and Engagement Strategy and Performance and leadership of Partnerships and SME personnel working within the Region/s and wider business as required.
Working collaboratively with NHSBSA business leaders and their teams to identify and analyse Partnerships and Opportunity initiatives, Partnerships and Opportunities Development pipeline, develop targeted and actionable strategic and tactical plans, driving and reporting on execution against plans.
Proactively building effective working relationships across the NHSBSA, with key stakeholders and other key players in the wider system in order to promote best practice, develop business relationships and input into strategic and tactical initiatives across the system.
Building an internal and strong external image for the NHSBSA and take opportunities to enhance the profile and promote the products, services, and solutions of the NHSBSA by having a known and agreed Partnership and Opportunity pipeline, programme of events.
Building professional and industry national and global networks.
Working with the Head of Partnerships and Opportunities and wider team ensure the NHSBSA understand, develop, and maximise all current and strategic partnerships.
Working with across the Partnerships and Opportunities team and wider team act as a driving force behind Partnership and Engagement strategic and tactical, organisational operational initiatives.
Supporting the development of the NHSBSA Partnership and Opportunity Strategy, Performance and Business Planning process and plans across the NHSBSA, taking the lead role for the development of the Regional Strategy, Performance and Business Planning as required.
Leading and overseeing multiple business Partnership and Opportunity programmes and produce recommendations for addressing major strategic issues and develop business plans, within the Region and or Nationally. To include leading on the development and management of national and regional bid responses.
As part of the Partnerships and Opportunities team identifying and developing wider opportunities for the NHSBSA multiple business directorates. To include but not limited to the creation of new ways of working, development of a new business ventures, such as a joint venture, equity alliance, acquisition, etc.
Bringing and role modelling a strong customer and partnership driven culture, that has a relationship-based approach, with a view to unlocking new insights, drive innovation that creates customer and business value for the NHSBSA.
Identifying key Partnership and Opportunity development needs and plans in relation that results in improved performance and customer expectation.
Developing appropriate metrics, targets, and performance, ensuring these are reported within the NHSBSA BBS and BPR.
Ensuring all supporting NHSBSA engagement strategies have clear benefits and performance metrics and delivery of are reported to the Leadership Team and Board.
Ensuring all NHSBSA Partnership and Opportunity activities are developed and are reported on considering Client, Commissioner, and user expectations.
Providing leadership to NHSBSA Partnerships and Opportunities team and networks ensuring that there is a sense of team and ownership with pre-agreed criteria/benefits for success.
Developing and maintaining key materials to include but not limited to stakeholder maps and stakeholder activities, key retention, and growth activities, known programme/s of events and marketing collateral, detailed competitor analysis and insights, Partnership and Opportunity pipeline and governance of same, market research and intelligence, product, and service life cycles.
