Regional Workplace Security Manager


YOUR IMPACT

You will be working cross-functionally with senior security program leads, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational expertise to help develop several of our physical security program initiatives designed to help create a safe and secure workplace for our employees, operations, and activities throughout the EMEA region. The position will contribute strongly to the strategy and management of the overall global physical security remit with a focus on physical security systems and implementation.


WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Work cross-functionally to develop and lead the strategy for physical security design and integration for OpenText offices globally.
  • Coordinate with the Global Real Estate and Facilities team on the design and implementation of physical and technical security installations across the EMEA real estate portfolio.
  • Ensure deployment of uniform systems, effectively manage expense budget, and provides regional oversight for hardware and fixed asset deployment.
  • Develop and direct systems lifecycle management programs to minimize maintenance cost and ensure efficient use of capital resources.
  • Serve as the data center expert on physical security and advise on data center security applications and operations.
  • Function as the subject matter expert for risk and compliance with oversight of regional requirement for EMEA data center audits.
  • Oversee global third-party security guard services contracts and vendor management for the EMEA region.
  • Assist in the development and execution of all physical security services, programs, and initiatives across the EMEA region.
  • Lead risk assessments and recommend operational and physical mitigation measures for any OpenText office in the region with the need to travel occasionally to visit those offices.
  • Lead security incident response and assist stakeholders as needed across OpenText EMEA offices, and function as the security leader in the event of a regional emergency or disaster in support of the OpenText Business Continuity Program.
  • Assist with the implementation of employee safety programs that aid in the prevention of threats and violence in the workplace and support our incident response.
  • Support regional physical security investigations, in conjunction with regional HR, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Collaborate in the development of new security and safety programs and assist in the deployment of these programs globally, including the development and maintenance of program policies, processes, training, and awareness.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma/certificate in security management, risk, business, or related field, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Several years of relevant work experience in a similar role with EMEA regional and or international experience, preferably within a global technology organization.
  • Professional certifications related to the global impact of the role such as CPP, CFE, CISM, or PSP would be nice but not required.
  • High degree of knowledge of various aspects of global physical security risk programs, including security systems technology, security incident management, GSOC operations, workplace violence prevention and threat assessment, project management, business continuity, travel and event security, and executive protection/journey management.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
  • Expert knowledge of security systems including video monitoring, access controls and incident management.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in physical security program development and implementation, security governance and risk methodology, and employee security awareness training.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgement in situations for which there are no established criteria to problem solve.
  • Flexibility in work schedule/ability to respond to after-hour or extended events globally as required
