Registered Fertility Midwife

Our Client’s Clinic is pleased to announce an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our clinical team. We are looking for a Registered Fertility Midwife on a full-time basis to work alongside our Client’s expanding fertility and miscarriage service. Our Client’s nursing team prides itself on providing exceptional bespoke care to women and couples and being at the forefront of innovation, training, and development.
The successful candidate will be a professional and committed individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills, who wants to be part of a successful private clinic based in the leafy Epsom area of Surrey.

The Registered Fertility Midwife Key Responsibilities will be:

• To be an active team member of a team that works alongside a consultant obstetrician and supports others in a highly specialist field of fertility and Immunology
• Ensure smooth running of the Miscarriage and Fertility Clinic, assisting couples undergoing fertility treatments and being responsible for implementing and monitoring patient treatment cycles
• Maintain effective communication between patients, staff, and consultants whilst working to the highest standard of clinical practice and patient care
• Assist in the collection of data and analysis of miscarriage data for research purposes
• The post holder is expected to have relevant training and competence in the following: venepuncture and cannulation.
• The post holder will work under the supervision of the senior midwife in monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of nursing care in delivering patient infusions.
• To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide assistance to the consultant and senior midwife as cover for other areas appropriate to professional competencies i.e. chaperoning of minor invasive procedures such as Hysteroscopy, Manual Vacuum Aspiration, saline scans, endometrial scratch, HYFOSY
• To develop specialist and expanded clinical skills to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor and handle sensitive information via telephone or email and feedback on clinical advice as given by the consultant.
• Use reflective practice to ensure continuous evaluation of care as appropriate to patients at the clinic.
• Maintain revalidation folder as per NMC.

To work as a Registered Fertility Midwife you will need:

• Be Registered with the NMC
• Right to Work in the UK
• Experience within conception and IVF
• Understanding of clinical governance/risk management and audit
