Registered Mental Health Nurse

Ward F is a Single Point Of Admission (SPOA) ward with 21 inpatient beds, where all patients that require Mental Health inpatient care in the Swansea Bay area will be admitted. Nurses who apply for this role would need to have a specialist RMN qualification. Your role will require you to work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team; to assist in the provision of care and treatment and to meet peoples physical, psychological, social, mental and spiritual care needs. You will assist the individual to maintain and improve their health, independence and recovery; within the clinical and / or community setting.You will focus on providing person-centred care, with a shared responsibility for positive risk taking.
You will assist people to exercise their rights and uphold safeguards to ensure minimal restriction on peoples lives, whilst also maintaining the safety of others. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
