Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a new opportunity?
We have a rewarding role available where you will care for our service user on a 2:1 basis within their own home.
We are looking for engaging and approachable Registered Nurses to join our team, caring for a lady in St Albans. You will need to be passionate about delivering the highest quality care to our service users, building positive relationships with them and their family whilst empowering them to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own home.
Meet Our Service User
Our service user is a lady with a brain injury that lives in her own home with her two cats and has a large, loving family that visit on a regular basis. She currently requires care on a 2:1 basis, this is a Registered Nurse working to manage her clinical needs alongside a Healthcare Assistant that will meet her personal care needs.
Her favourite hobbies and interests include exploring arts & crafts, baking, gardening, listening to music and watching her favourite TV shows such as The Crown. She is a very sociable lady who enjoys seeing her grandchildren and being out in the community.
Regarding our service users care requirements, she has a particularly complex set of interacting medical conditions and cognitive impairments, consisting of an Acquired Brain Injury, Addison’s Disease, Respiratory Failure and Type 2 Diabetes.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience working with Acquired Brain Injuries, Diabetes Management and be confident with the administration of hydrocortisone in the event of suspected adrenal crisis. It would be beneficial if you have the ability to transcribe MAR charts, however this is not essential for the role.
To progress your application, it is essential that you have the following:
- Practising Registered Nurse with current NMC Pin for at least 12 Months
- Valid DBS (or be willing to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
We have the following shifts available:
- Days: 07:00-19:00
- Nights: 19:00-07:00
- Alternate weekends are needed for this position
Take a look at our pay rates
Weekdays: £40.00 per hour (£480 approx. per 12-hour shift)
Weeknights: £42.00 per hour (£504 approx. per 12-hour shift)
Weekends: £44.00 per hour (£528 approx. per 12-hour shift)
Bank Holidays: £48.00 per hour (£576 approx. per 12-hour shift)
