Hays Healthcare has a great opportunity for a Registered Staff Nurse to join our client's care team at a Nursing Home, based in Church Stretton, Shropshire on a permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.
The Nursing Home is a place our clients residents call home. It's a happy, welcoming atmosphere set amongst the Shropshire hills with luxurious accommodation and expert, nursing-led care and we\'re looking for caring and supportive individuals to join them.
We're looking for a dedicated professional to bring our client's values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.

Your new role

As a Registered Staff Nurse, you will work and lead within the Nursing Home team, assisting elderly residents with normal activities of daily living, promoting independence and maintaining their dignity and respect. You will provide leadership in the care of people with complex needs and through effective communication, our residents receive a person-centred and holistic review of their individual needs and preferences.
You will administer medications as prescribed, following correct procedures and equipment, and assist in implementation of care plans, re-assessments and reviews. You will liaise with the G.P. and other health care professionals as and when necessary to ensure the health needs of residents are identified and met whilst maintaining confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home.

What you'll need to succeed

• NMC Professional Registration and active PIN
  
• The ability to work with in a team and independently.
  
• Previous experience in providing a quality care service for people
  
• A commitment to delivering quality care to vulnerable adults
  
• Excellent verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills
  
• Caring attitude with desire to help and support others
  
• Care home experience is advantageous but not essential
