Set in acres of rolling woodland and picturesque grounds is our Faygate practice, surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and within reach the South Downs National Park and stunning Jurassic coastline. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us, working to a 4-day week with 1:6 weekends. Faygate is a lovely, modern and well-equipped hospital situated in beautiful part of West Sussex.

We have a dedicated, experienced, friendly and supportive team, where patient care is at the core. The clinic is equipped with complex ultrasound, CT, laparoscopic kit, endoscope, full in-house lab, a dental suite, separate dog and cat wards, isolation ward and two operating theatres.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Nurse who enjoys a mix of complex cases across surgery and consults from a loyal client base.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
