Registered Veterinary Nurse - ICR Vets, Loanhead
Salary up to £34,000 depending on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at ICR Vets.
This varied role will consist of a range of consulting, surgery, diagnostics and inpatient care. This job is predominately based at our RCVS accredited hospital in Loanhead with occasional branch work. Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, hard-working and integrate well with the team. Above all, they would demonstrate a passion for great client and patient care.
Ideally, we are looking for someone to fill a full-time position, typically working a four-day week. We are proud to run our own out of hours service with the rota including a share of weekend or night shifts.
About the practice
ICR Vets is a group of four branches, all based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We are a progressive small animal practice with a reputation for providing an excellent standard of patient and client care.
Our RCVS accredited hospital in Loanhead offers 24-hour emergency and inpatient care. We have a varied medical and surgical caseload, including both routine surgery and dentistry alongside opportunity for more advanced procedures and investigations. Our hospital is fully equipped with in-house blood analysers including blood gas and coagulation, dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and multi-parameter monitoring. We are also proud to offer laparoscopic surgery as standard and are happy to train new staff.
Throughout the group, we have several Vet and Registered Veterinary Nurse certificate holders with special interests in ECC, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, cardiology, behaviour, physiotherapy and chronic pain. Our experienced team allows us to offer more advanced services such as orthopaedics, BOAS surgery and chemotherapy.

Our dedicated team is made up of 22 Vets and 26 Registered Veterinary Nurses across our four sites, supported by our hard-working Veterinary Care Assistants, Reception and Admin teams. We have regular get togethers where we focus on clinical improvement, wellbeing and team socialising. We also have an annual ‘Away Day’ as a chance for the whole group to celebrate what we do and the people we work with.
