Reed Scientific are recruiting for a Regulatory Manager for a Chemical manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire to ensure that they comply with all applicable regulations. The Regulatory Manager would work with the US and Malaysia teams to ensure a consolidated approach is maintained. 

Responsibilities of the Regulatory Manager

• Maintain EU & UK REACH & global reach registrations and monitor annual tonnages.
• Submit regulatory documents to the relevant authorities according to deadlines.
• Use existing monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Foresee new and changing regulations and coordinate internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address changes in product, operations or testing requirements.
• Investigate and manage any reported issues of non-compliance.
• Provide regulatory support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide and maintain Safety Data Sheets in support of intermediate products and finished products.
• Research and maintain compliance status of Raw Materials
• Write and publish regulatory data sheets on range of standards and legislation for a range of industries.
• Ensure global compliance of biocidal products used in products.
• Determine dangerous goods for transport classifications of products.
• Maintenance and auditing of dangerous goods notes, and dangerous goods management system.
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within the chemical industry.

Qualifications, experience and skills required

• Degree in Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience with food contact, reach and global compliance.
• SDS Authoring and CLP Labelling qualification / training.
• Previous experience in a Regulatory Manager role, in a chemical manufacturing environment is essential.
• Understanding of both legal and scientific matters.
• Excellent report writing skills and document management experience.
